One of the 3 pillars of the Sikh faith is Naam Japo, or doing meditation and prayer. In Sikhism, a mala may be used during the practice of naam simran to focus on or keep count of, repetitions of the following:

✨Mool Mantar - Verses of holy scripture from Guru Granth Sahib
